Electrolysis For TG / TS Ladies

For many TS women Electrolysis is part of the transformation, it will help make you look more feminine and youthful and making your passable goal more achievable. Passing will generally make your life easier as contradictory gender presentation can be upsetting.

Electrolysis is still the ONLY proven method of permanently removing unwanted hairs – Laser contrary to popular belief is ONLY a Temporary REDUCTION of at best 40% and that WILL eventually come back. The reason I can say this is because 60% of my client base have had this treatment and none have been happy with the results. There could be a few out there???

Your commitment to having Electrolysis is paramount as I am unable to achieve results if appointments are sporadic and missed. There are two ways to treat unwanted hairs

Clearing – Full Force
Thinning – Slowly Slowly

Clearing – where the whole area is treated in one fail swoop, this can take anywhere from 2-6 hours sometimes a little more. This can be broken up into two sessions one for the top and one for the bottom, and then regular sessions of 1-3 hours to keep on top of the new growth. Shaving can still be used in between but I do however need at least 2-3 days growth. Again your commitment is needed and you might want to work your appointments around when you want to have your ‘clear’ days, generally the area treated will stay red and sometimes slightly raised for up to 24hrs; I do provide you with an after gel that soothes and protects the treated area and I like you to use it that night and the following morning.

Thinning – These is when you chose the area that bothers you the most and we start there and work outwards thinning as we go. An example would be if the area around your chin bothered you a lot but the sides not so much. I would concentrate on the chin area and when that area started to show signs of clearing I would gradually include the sides, or under the neck into the times. This does sometimes mean the overall treatment time chronology can be longer but this can be a better option for those that want to treat the area more gradually.

Ultimately you can have anywhere that has hair treated, I do have clients that get caught up in the results that they want every where done at once; my advice to you is choose ONE place that bothers you done first and then go from there.
